The AA&I project aims to enhance pedestrian traffic from Bonham Road to the main pedestrian Deck level of HKU Main Campus by providing 2 additional escalators and staircases to provide enhanced pedestrian linkage to the Eastern side of the campus.

Integrating the heritage stone heritage wall and Fung Ping Shan Museum, the design calls for a new interpretation of the old and the new by introducing a light weight canopy structure to redefine the main entrance gateway of the University.
